March 14-29, 2026

Opening Reception: March 14, 2026 | 5-7pm

OneHouse Arts is proud to present Names, Colors, Shapes, an exhibition featuring 35 large-scale watercolor works that depict young artist’s names in organic shapes camouflaged within landscapes of color, pattern, and playful characters. OneHouse artists constructed their own names out of original and whimsical fonts, drawing inspiration from tangram—a traditional Chinese puzzle game made up of seven geometric shapes, resulting in an installation that celebrates both structure and creativity.

This exhibition also features watercolor works constructed into three dimensional forms. Through folding, layering, and radial expansion, each sheet becomes a curved module—part petal, part geometric form—creating an organic structure that echoes patterns of natural growth.

Whether suspended from the ceiling or resting on the ground, these large works create an immersive environment, inviting viewers to experience color, shape, and space in a physical and engaging way. Created by young artists ranging from 4 to 15 years old, these works are a powerful reminder of how thoughtful, expressive, and visually compelling children’s art can be when their ideas are taken seriously and given space to grow.

OneHouse Arts is committed to bringing children's artwork into the public community, allowing young artists to see their work within a broader context of art and culture. In return, we invite the public to recognize the value of children’s art as an essential part of the larger cultural art landscape. OneHouse Arts is thrilled to have the opportunity to share our work at LA Artcore’s Little Tokyo location.

About OneHouse Arts:

OneHouse Arts is an experimental art school dedicated to helping children discover art on their own by asking questions about their ideas, introducing them to various methods, staying open to their artistic inclinations, providing them with space to create, and giving their art a place in the world at large. We combine the spirit of active research, art experimentation, and self-expression with the cognitive developmental process of children to improve their growing aesthetic ability and image communication skills while ultimately establishing a more intimate relationship between people and art.

OneHouse Arts has proudly engaged the Los Angeles community around children’s art since 2012. We have participated in community events, including the Pasadena Chalk Festival, LA Zine Fest, and Bob Baker Day. Past notable exhibitions include "Animal Encyclopedia" at Human Resources LA, “Galaxy Mosaic” at Adams Square Park Mini Gas Station, and “Everyone All at OneHouse” at Alhambra City Hall.
