Stories from Chinatown

Stories from Chinatown is an outdoor community screening and closing reception organized

by Coffee Kang and Evelyn Hang Yin. It is part two of a public programming series that

accompanies to draw a house/得運廠, an exhibition by the two artists at LA Artcore. The

screening showcases 5 short films that explore the complexities of Chinatowns as an ongoing process of homemaking, interwoven with spatial justice, intergenerational relationships, and cultural representation. Featuring an array of filmmakers spanning different eras and backgrounds, the program hopes to initiate a dialogue that bridges the historical and current narratives of Chinatowns. The screening is free, and no RSVP is required!
